We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Plant Manager to lead the daily operations of a chemical/biofuel processing facility. This role requires a leader who can effectively manage plant operations, including maintenance, quality control, and personnel training, to meet facility goals and objectives. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and maintain high standards of safety and efficiency across the plant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee plant operations, maintenance, and quality control to ensure efficient production processes.
  • Coordinate plant activities through effective planning with departmental supervisors.
  • Participate in the hiring and training of plant personnel; establish a motivated and skilled workforce.
  • Implement projects aimed at improving efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing environmental compliance and safety.
  • Ensure adherence to local and federal regulations at all times.
  • Manage the safety program for all plant equipment and personnel, maintaining high safety standards.
  • Facilitate communication among departments to promote collaboration and efficiency.
  • Review reports from supervisors and manage plant shutdowns and maintenance planning.
  • Conduct performance reviews for supervisory staff and establish procedures for plant cleanliness.
  • Undertake additional duties as designated by senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Proven knowledge of ethanol production processes and related technologies.
  • Familiarity with managing budgets and financial statements.
  • Strong supervisory skills with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Directly supervise staff across plant operations, laboratory, and maintenance departments.
  • Handle responsibilities in line with organizational policies and legal requirements.
  • Take charge of interviewing, hiring, and training employees, as well as managing performance and resolving issues.

Computer Skills:

  • Proficiency in basic office software, including word processing, email, and spreadsheets.
