**This position offers competitive compensation based on the 2025–2026 Teacher Compensation Scale, with pay increasing based on years of experience and education level.**

Job Description

Our client is seeking a dedicated SPED Special Education Teacher – Essential Academics (Middle School) to support students with diverse learning needs in a self-contained classroom setting. This position involves developing IEPs, adapting curriculum, and collaborating with a team to ensure academic success.

  • Deliver individualized and small-group instruction to students with special needs
  • Develop and implement IEPs and behavioral intervention plans
  • Modify and adapt curriculum to meet various learning styles
  • Work collaboratively with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and service providers
  • Manage student behavior and maintain a structured classroom environment
  • Use data to drive instruction and assess student progress
  • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians on student performance
  • Participate in ARD meetings and collaborate on student goals
  • Use educational technology and tools to enhance learning
  • Fulfill all professional and administrative responsibilities, including documentation and compliance tasks

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
  • Valid Texas teaching certificate
  • SPED Special Education certification (required)
  • ESL certification (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of IEP development and instructional modifications
  • Demonstrated competency in core academic subject areas
  • Passion for inclusive education and commitment to student success
