ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY – ERISA LITIGATION

Our client, a prominent international AmLaw 50 law firm, is seeking a talented Associate Attorney to join their ERISA Litigation Practice. This is an exceptional opportunity to work with a highly experienced team handling complex employee benefits litigation, including high-impact matters involving fiduciary duties, pension and retirement plans, and health and welfare benefits. The role offers significant responsibility, client engagement, and opportunities for long-term career growth.

 

 

Candidate Profile

  • JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
  • Active Bar Admission in the applicable jurisdiction, in good standing
  • 2–6 years of substantive litigation experience
  • ERISA litigation experience is preferred
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple matters concurrently
  • Soft skills: Excellent communication, judgment, and interpersonal skills, along with a collaborative mindset and commitment to high-quality client service

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in ERISA litigation matters, including fiduciary duty, pension, and benefits disputes
  • Draft motions, briefs, memoranda, and other litigation filings
  • Participate in discovery, including depositions, document review, and preparation of discovery responses
  • Conduct legal research on ERISA, employee benefits, and related statutory frameworks
  • Assist with case strategy, risk assessment, and litigation planning in collaboration with senior attorneys
  • Support clients across a range of industries on complex benefits-related litigation matters

Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive Salary: Expected annual salary range of $235,000-$260,000, as determined by experience and market factors
