Our client, a prestigious AmLaw 100 firm, is seeking a motivated Associate Attorney to join their thriving Commercial Litigation Practice Group in Columbia. This is a superb opportunity to join a rapidly-expanding practice that handles high-stakes litigation for some of the world’s leading companies.

 

Candidate Profile:

  • JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.

  • Active Bar Admission in South Carolina, or willing to become admitted.

  • 1+ years of substantive experience in commercial litigation in a mid-large law firm setting.

  • Highly proficient in drafting discovery motions and taking and defending depositions.

  • Demonstrated experience with case management and ready to take the lead.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset and a standard of excellence in client service.

  • Strong written and oral advocacy skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle all phases of commercial litigation, from pre-trial strategy to resolution, in both state and federal courts.

  • Take and defend depositions, demonstrating strong advocacy and analytical skills.

  • Draft and argue complex discovery motions.

  • Conduct thorough legal research and case analysis to develop winning litigation strategies.

  • Collaborate with partners, associates, and clients to provide strategic counsel and effective representation.

  • Manage document review, e-discovery, and case filings in an organized and efficient manner.
