Your Role

As the Sales Manager – Industrial & Automation, you’ll lead business growth in key markets and customer segments. This role combines strategic sales leadership with hands-on relationship management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive growth by identifying and securing new customer opportunities across industrial automation sectors.

  • Build and manage relationships at both technical and executive levels.

  • Serve as the main point of contact for assigned accounts and manage all commercial interactions.

  • Collaborate with product management to promote new automation technologies.

  • Deliver consistent revenue growth (target 5%+ year-over-year).

  • Ensure customer satisfaction through timely and effective solution delivery.

  • Provide accurate forecasting and CRM updates to support business planning.

About the Market & Travel

You’ll be based in Raleigh, NC, with flexibility across U.S. operations. Expect approximately 50% travel to meet customers across diverse sectors — including HVACR, food & beverage, logistics, and advanced manufacturing.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (BSEE preferred)

  • 5+ years of experience selling industrial automation products (VFDs, PLCs, HMIs, motors, servo systems, etc.)

  • Strong background in account strategy and business development

  • Proven ability to engage decision-makers and nurture key relationships

  • Commercial understanding of automation product lines and solutions

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

  • High self-motivation, results orientation, and independence

  • Proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)

  • Willingness to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally

Compensation & Benefits

💰 Salary Range: $121,000 – $203,000 (includes 35–45% performance bonus)
💼 401(k): 50% employer match up to 10% of salary
✈️ Travel: Up to 50% (domestic and international)
