Our client is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to support our finance operations in Indianapolis, IN. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and has a passion for ensuring accuracy in billing, collections, and customer account management.
\nWhat You’ll Do as an Accounts Receivable Specialist:
\nAs an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you’ll play a critical role in managing customer accounts, ensuring prompt payments, resolving disputes, and maintaining accurate financial records. Your work will directly support the company’s cash flow, customer relationships, and financial stability.
\nAccounts Receivable Duties Include:
\nPreparing, posting, verifying, and recording customer payments and transactions
\nCreating and submitting invoices according to company practices
\nDrafting correspondence for past-due accounts and contacting delinquent customers
\nMaintaining and updating customer account files (address changes, mergers, etc.)
\nResearching customer discrepancies and past-due balances with support from Finance and Operations
\nReconciling accounts receivable on a bi-monthly basis and assisting with revenue reconciliations
\nGenerating monthly billing statements and daily AR aging reports
\nValidating customer deductions and resolving disputes
\nDocumenting collection interactions in PayCom
\nPartnering with Sales and Operations to accelerate the collection process
\nSupporting Finance with reporting, filing, and other administrative needs
\nWhat We’re Looking For:
\n3+ years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, or collections
\nStrong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
\nExcellent communication and customer service abilities
\nAbility to problem-solve and research discrepancies effectively
\nExperience with accounting software (PayCom or similar preferred)
\nBilingual Spanish/English is a plus
\nKnowledge of Department of Labor laws (federal/state) is preferred
\nHigh school diploma required; further education in accounting/finance preferred

Excellent communication and customer service abilities
Ability to problem-solve and research discrepancies effectively
Experience with accounting software (PayCom or similar preferred)
Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus
