Position Summary
Pro Services is seeking an experienced QA/QC Professional to join our growing skilled Trades Piping Division! The QA/QC Professional (Piping) is responsible for ensuring quality at the project beginning and compliance at project end state for all piping installations. You’ll be the quality advocate on-site—verifying materials, welds, and testing while collaborating with project managers, field teams, and clients to uphold the highest standards of craftsmanship and compliance.
The ideal candidate will be accomplished in ensuring design specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements are met. This role involves implementing quality assurance and control processes throughout the project lifecycle—from material receipt and fabrication to installation and testing. The QA/QC Professional works closely with project management, field supervision, and clients to ensure safety, integrity, and compliance on all skilled trades piping projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific QA/QC plans for piping installations.
- Perform inspections and audits at all project phases—fabrication, installation, hydro-testing, and commissioning.
- Verify compliance with ASME, AWS, API, and other applicable piping codes and standards.
- Review and verify welding procedures, welder qualifications, and NDE (Non-Destructive Examination) reports.
- Ensure materials are properly identified, traceable, and conform to engineering requirements.
- Maintain accurate and complete QA/QC documentation, including Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), weld maps, and material traceability logs.
- Prepare daily quality reports and maintain inspection records for internal and client review.
- Participate in punch list walk downs and ensure timely closure of QA/QC-related items.
- Support project turnover by preparing and reviewing quality records for final data books.
Compliance & Continuous Improvement
- Ensure all work aligns with company policies, client specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with safety and engineering teams to resolve non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
- Lead or participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations for quality incidents.
- Provide training and mentorship to field teams on quality procedures and best practices.
Coordination & Communication
- Collaborate with project management, field foremen, and fabrication shops to resolve quality issues.
- Communicate effectively with clients, inspectors, and third-party agencies regarding inspections and certifications.
- Attend pre-fabrication and pre-installation meetings to ensure understanding of quality requirements.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 5+ years of QA/QC experience in piping, mechanical, or industrial construction.
- Strong knowledge of ASME Section IX, B31.1, B31.3, and AWS D1.1.
- Certification(s) preferred: CWI (Certified Welding Inspector), API 570, NACE, or ASNT Level II/III.
- Proficiency in reading P&IDs, isometrics, and engineering drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and quality management software.
