Pro Services is looking for a Facilities Engineer to join our customer as a direct hire in St. Paul, MN.  This hands-on position is responsible for maintaining all building systems, mechanical infrastructure, and process and laboratory equipment to the highest standards at the company world headquarters.
 
The ideal candidate:
-Must have low pressure MN State 1st Class C Boiler License
-5+ years facility maintenance exp.
-Experience working in research and development environment with laboratory equipment
-experience with JCI Metasys 
-Knowledge of plumbing and strong knowledge with fabrication and welding
-Lead or oversaw projects and coordinated resources and vendors for projects/facility needs
-strong Microsoft office skills 
-exp or knowledge in vendor management 
-worked with operation/engineering team on HVAC and facility team
-helpful to have background working with chemicals
-experience with facility management 
 
 
Key Responsibilities:

Preventive Maintenance 
• Perform hands-on preventive maintenance and repairs on all building systems and process equipment, including HVACR systems, lab hoods and equipment, heat recovery systems, boilers, chillers, cooling towers, generators, electrical systems, plumbing, piping, building controls and process controls.
• Assist in management of Building HVAC systems using BMS (Metasys), automatic fire systems and support campus security systems.
• Independently troubleshoot complex maintenance issues and develop actionable, cost-effective solutions.
• Use diagnostic tools and data to analyze and resolve system functions.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve long-term facility goals.
• Follow safety operating procedures, and provide a clean, and efficient work environment.

Assist with external contractors and vendors
• Identify and propose facility improvement projects to protect company assets.
• Solicit bids and manage external contractors for project execution.

Project Lead / Management 
• Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of a project by coordinating team efforts, managing resources, and ensuring goals are met on time and within scope.
 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 8+ Years direct hands-on maintenance experience including 5+ years in corporate headquarters and/or laboratory setting.
• MN State 1st Class C Boiler License 
• Proficiency with VFDs, MCCs and complex control systems
• Knowledge of JCI Metasys EMS software and Lab hood management system (TSI)
• Skilled in welding, fabrication, brazing, soldering, and pipe fitting.
• Experience with building management systems / energy management systems.
• Experience with closed loop water systems and chemistry, reverse osmosis and deionization systems.
• Ability to understand, troubleshoot, and repair complex chemical piping / flow systems.
• Ability to understand, troubleshoot, and repair complex pneumatic control systems.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, electrical schematics, and building / equipment blueprints.
• Knowledge of 3 phase and other low voltage electrical systems.
• High safety and environmental awareness with relevant safety training (LOTO, hot work, confined spaces, line break, fall protection, chemical handling OSHA guidelines).
• Ability to work effectively with others within an interdisciplinary team and professionally interact with coworkers, corporate leadership, and outside contractors.
• Able to assist with on-call rotation (1 week per month)
 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Combination of 2 years technical training and experience in the operation and maintenance of building controls, process controls, building mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and laboratory equipment.
• Associate’s degree in building maintenance type field.
• Pneumatic systems, RO/DI filtration, Data Center HVACR experience.

 
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT
• Must be able to safely work at elevated heights, including on ladders and roofs.
• Must be able to lift 75lbs
• Must become able to operate forklift, electric pallet jack, pallet jack.
• Must become fully trained to use the proper PPE for chemicals used at our facility.
