Fast paced and rapidly growing trial and litigation law firm seeks legal secretary with at least three years personal injury litigation experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, proactive, detail-oriented, extremely organized, and able to work in an environment while managing multiple cases at a time.

This is a full-time in-office position requiring a minimum of 40 hours per week. Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred.

Duties include:

  • File and serve legal documents
  • Client communication
  • Organize and maintain case files
  • Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases
  • Prepare and draft legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and subpoenas
  • Coordinate with clients, witnesses, and opposing counsel to schedule meetings, depositions, and court appearances
  • Notice and object to depositions
  • Calendar depositions, hearing dates and all deadlines (pleadings, motions, discovery, etc.)
  • Schedule court reporters, and request transcripts
  • Review and proofread legal documents for accuracy and completeness
  • Use case management software to keep cases organized and updated.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Proficient in data entry and document management systems
  • Excellent phone etiquette and communication skillsAbility to proofread legal documents for accuracy and completeness
  • Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Experience with file management
