A San Francisco-based nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals experiencing homelessness and extreme financial hardship is seeking an Interim Director of Property Management on a part-time, short-term basis. The organization's mission is to provide housing, employment opportunities, shelter, and essential services that prevent and end homelessness.

 

The Interim Director of Property Management will bring extensive experience in property operations and serve as both a strategic advisor and hands-on leader for the Executive Director. The organization is in the process of assuming direct management of properties under a new operating agreement with a Bay Area county, transitioning from a third-party management firm. Additionally, the organization plans to bring two more properties in-house within the next six months.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with county officials to establish and finalize legal agreements.
  • Develop and implement resident services to support tenants effectively.
  • Prepare for the transition of property management responsibilities, including janitorial, maintenance, and front desk operations.
  • Assist in the creation and refinement of property management systems.
  • Provide strategic guidance on scaling property management operations while building internal infrastructure and processes.
