Job Overview:

One of Southern California's premier resort owner and operator that has been innovating the luxury and lifestyle landscape for over 50 years is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead their iconic Surf & Sand beachfront resort in Laguna Beach. This luxury resort, a member of Historic Hotels of America and Preferred Hotels and Resorts World Wide, has received AAA's Four-Diamond Award. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing a luxury full service hotel or resort, optimizing operational processes, and driving growth and profitability. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a passion for excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations to ensure efficiency and quality in service delivery.
• Develop and implement strategies for business growth and operational improvements.
• Lead, mentor, and motivate a diverse team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Establish performance goals and monitor progress to ensure objectives are met.
• Manage budgets, financial plans, and resources effectively to maximize profitability.
• Maintain compliance with industry regulations and standards.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners.

Qualifications:

• Ten (10) years varied management experience in the luxury resort industry (independent resort experience preferred).
• Experience managing multifaceted resort operations / full service hotels which include food & beverage, spa and events/weddings with a focus on ensuring exceptional luxury resort customer service.
• Strong financial acumen and analytical skills and ability to drive revenue and profitability. 
• Strong computer knowledge and experience with industry standard systems (including Oracle.)
• Demonstrated ability to manage a large staff across all hotel departments and a track record of effectively maintaining a high level of morale and productivity.
• Track record of community involvement as a representative of the hotel.
• Bachelor’s degree in business or hotel management, or equivalent experience.
