Position Summary:

Established non-profit operating in Greater Sacramento creates affordable homeownership opportunities through new home construction and offers critical home repairs, neighborhood revitalization programs, and training to help families improve their housing situations. This organization is currently seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Construction Officer to lead and oversee all aspects of construction operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects and possess exceptional leadership skills. This role requires a visionary leader who can drive innovation and ensure the highest standards of quality and safety are maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic direction and oversight for all construction projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to optimize construction processes and improve efficiency.
• Lead and mentor a team of construction professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards across all projects.
• Manage budgets, timelines, and resources effectively to deliver projects on time and within scope.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including contractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction management or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in leading large-scale construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• A State of California general contractor’s “B” license in good standing is required
