ATHENA is hiring a full time, on-site HR Assistant in Brea, CA at a competitive hourly rate of $24 - $27 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update the HRIS system, including employee data entry, reporting, and system support.
  • Manage employee records (paper and electronic), ensuring accurate processing of new hires, transfers, promotions, and terminations while maintaining I-9 compliance.
  • Handle employment verification requests.
  • Assist employees with inquiries related to health, dental, vision, PTO, and leave of absence benefits.
  • Distribute HR communications and support employee advocacy by serving as a confidential resource.
  • Act as an employee benefits administrator and account custodian.
  • Support additional HR projects and administrative tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience in Human Resources administration or recruitment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and HRIS systems.
  • Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and resolve conflicts with professionalism.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
