At this well-established, process-oriented manufacturer, the Production Scheduler is responsible for planning and preparing production schedules for the site. This role involves working closely with others, being detail oriented and having excellent problem solving skills!  Daily, you will be responsible for the following tasks:
 
  • Develop production schedules and prioritize customer orders to meet productivity, cost, and inventory goals.

  • Manage the continuous improvement and accuracy of the MRP system and SAP master data.

  • Analyze production forecasts to maintain optimal stock levels for raw materials, finished products, and customer consignment materials.

  • Create and maintain reports that summarize capacity, service levels, and other key performance indicators.

  • Collaborate with key departments including Production, Sales, Customer Service, and Material Control.

  • Ensure all work is in full compliance with applicable ISO standards, quality, and safety procedures.

  • Serve as a back-up for the Warehouse Supervisor/Material Control Coordinator.

  • Other duties as delegated by management.
 
Qualified candidates will be able to communicate at all levels, learn the process quickly, be flexible with work requirements and have a continuous improvement mindset. Individuals will spend up to 20% of their time in the production area and will share an office space with peers. REQUIREMENTS for the Production Scheduler:1. Minimum of a high school diploma; a Bachelor's degree is highly preferred
2. At least 3-5 years of similar manufacturing production scheduling experience  
3. Experience working within ERP systems 
4. Experience adjusting MRP planning parameters, including understanding lead times, BOMs and routings 
5. Microsoft Office, including strong Excel skills
 
Skills preferred but NOT required:1. APICS certification 
2. Power BI 
3. Batch manufacturing 
4. Experience in a blending/mixing manufacturing environment, ideally in chemical, pharmaceutical, coatings, food, beverage, etc.
5. Working knowledge of S&OP
