Fast-paced manufacturer is hiring a Validation Test Engineer to join their team. As the Validation Test Engineer, you will report to the Engineering Manager and will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Develop Validation Tests: Create and develop validation tests that accurately replicate how the product will be used and the environmental conditions it will face.
- Design Test Plans: Build comprehensive validation test plans using customer specifications, product risk assessments, reliability requirements, and real-world field data.
- Create Procedures and Fixtures: Develop detailed durability and performance test procedures and design the necessary fixtures for testing.
- Manage and Execute Testing: Oversee the execution of all validation test plans from start to finish.
- Provide Timely Updates: Keep internal and external customers informed with weekly updates on test progress.
- Analyze and Predict Performance: Perform detailed engineering and reliability analysis on test results, applying statistical methods to predict product performance.
- Document and Report: Write and deliver thorough test reports, summarizing all findings and conclusions.
- Other duties as assigned by management
Candidates should feel comfortable spending the majority of their day at their desk and up to 20% of their time in a test lab. Candidates should be able to communicate at all levels and be able to build rapport with test technicians and team members. The qualified individual will have drive, be eager to learn, able to support others and work within a team environment to complete tasks. Bachelor's degree in a technical field
2. At least two years of similar validation test engineering experience 2. Experience working in a lab setting
3. Experience supporting mechanical and/or electrical components
4. Microsoft Office
Skills preferred but NOT required:1. Minitab
2. Automotive supplier environments
3. Mechanical aptitude and/or hobbies
