The IT Support Specialist will support Infrastructure operations by configuring, maintaining, troubleshooting and supporting systems and networks.  You will provide Level 1 and 2 support for ongoing business operations and IT projects. 

 

Responsibilities include:

  •  Support day-to-day activities for the manufacturing plant and corporate IT Infrastructure, desktops, and peripherals.
  • Installation, testing, maintenance and support of system equipment and operating systems that make up manufacturing operations.
  • Using the help desk ticketing system, ensure all assigned tickets are resolved in an efficient, timely, complete, and customer-friendly manner.
  • Support of the IT environment including areas such as systems, networks, applications, IT/OT, printers, security, etc.
  • Perform equipment upgrades, refreshes, moves/adds/changes, and configuration
  • Assist with and have the opportunity to develop skills with servers, network routers and switches.
  • Work on special IT or technology projects as assigned.
  • Opportunities to get additional formal training and certifications are offered.
 

Candidates should be self-motivated, customer service focused, be able to work independently and enjoy working in a team-oriented environment.   This position requires candidates to be on the manufacturing floor up to 20% of their day.  Individuals should have excellent floor communication skills and be able to effectively communicate at all levels.  Medical benefits are available the first of the month after 30 days of employment.  14 paid holidays, vacation, 401K and annual bonus!  

 

REQUIREMENTS for the IT Analyst:
1. Bachelor's degree in a related field with coop and/or internship experience in a similar role or a high school diploma with at least three years of work experience in a similar role  
2. Relevant experience in a Microsoft Windows-based environment
3. In-depth ability to troubleshoot, repair, and configure PC's, laptops, printers and other peripherals.
4. Experience with a service desk ticketing system
5. Microsoft Office, including strong Excel skills
 
Skills that are preferred, but not required:
1. CompTIA A+ or other similar certifications
2.  Experience supporting IT functions in a manufacturing environment 
3.  Active Directory
