Review and interpret customer part prints, conduct time/cycle studies, and assist with machine project quotes
Assist in the development of tooling, work-holding, and documentation for projects; create and maintain technical documentation for each
Write and troubleshoot CNC programs, ensuring the proper installation and adaptation of all necessary components for successful machine tool setup
Debug and fine-tune processes, addressing all aspects of machine functionality and project-specific needs
Prepare machines for shipping by breaking down setups, taking inventory of parts, verifying all items, and creating packing lists and shipping details
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, managing coolant disposal, chip removal, and the return of unused materials to project shelves and bar stock areas
Provide technical support to other company departments, including processing, tooling, and work-holding
Coordinate machine tool setups at customer locations; develop and facilitate demonstrations and customer training for CNC machine tool set up and operation
Requirements:
5-10+ years of progressive experience with CNC mills, lathes, and multi-channel (multi-spindle and/or multi-turret) machining experience
G code programming experience required
Working knowledge of Siemens Controls or equivalent controls experience
Advanced CAD/CAM programming experience required
Strong understanding of mechanical design, tooling, and work-holding systems
Ability to analyze and interpret technical documents, including part prints and machine specifications
Ability to travel up to 40% nationwide for customer projects
