Sales Engineer

 

Summary:

This position will drive the performance and growth of the sales organization in pursuit of being the Preferred Boiler Room Solutions Provider. You will work alongside the leadership team to accomplish business goals while setting and maintaining a culture of Customers, Integrity, Teamwork and Excellence (C.I.T.E.)

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each of the primary duties satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

1.      Lead Patriot Product team on advancing technologies, share and train internally.

2.      Performs a high-level specialized systems engineering role as an individual contributor specializing in complex pre-sales activities.

3.      Read, understand and interpret building plans and specifications.

4.      Provides mentorship and guidance on technology and competitive trends to clients, partners and employees.

5.      Provide technical sales support for all Patriot products and solutions.

6.      Proactively assesses, clarifies and validates customer needs and status on an ongoing basis.

7.      Coordinates the involvement of company personnel to orchestrate resolution of customer technical questions, concerns and escalations.

8.      Drive topline revenue by interacting with prospective customers when called upon.

9.      Contribute first person content for website and social media.

10.  Local association and chapter meetings presence.

11.  Performs in-depth and technical presentations for customers (external and internal), partners and events.

12.  Develop and grow relationships with contractors, project engineers and manufacturers.

13.  Performs a high-level specialized systems engineering role as an individual contributor specializing in pre-sales activities.

14.  Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with owners, architects, MEP Consultants, General, Mechanical and Electrical Contractors, ensuring repeat business and high levels of customer loyalty.

15.  Identify and develop new business opportunities.

16.  Leads solution development efforts that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel.

 

 

1.      Track and monitor key sales KPI’s to identify areas of success and improvement.

2.      Act as steward of the company culture, promoting quality and an exceptional customer experience.

3.      Other duties, as assigned.

 

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

1.      Visit customers throughout the day, travel to job sites and attend meetings both inside and outside of the office.

2.      Manage multiple projects on an ongoing basis.

3.      Spend time in the office either on the computer, using the phone or handling office material.

4.      Documents customer contact activity in company CRM software.

5.      Partners with Sales to follow up and close orders.

6.      Participate in weekly sales meetings.

 

Qualifications / Education / Skills and Experience:

1.      Requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.

2.      A minimum of five (5) years of experience in technical support, sales and customer service in the boiler or steam equipment industry is preferred.

3.      Understanding of ASME, UL and NFPA codes and standards is a plus.

4.      Must be computer literate with MS Office software and Monday.com.

5.      Strong problem solving and analytical skills.

6.      Excellent written and verbal communication across organizations at all levels of the business, including effective technical presentation skills.

7.      Relationship Focused: Able to build trust and influence through relationship building.

8.      Customer Service Minded: Always respecting our customers and their needs.

9.      Superb time management, prioritization, and organizational skills.

10.  Clean driving record.
