We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Bookkeeper at Ambleside School of Colorado. This position offers an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in accounting and payroll to contribute to the efficient financial management of our school.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the monthly payroll cycle, including processing payroll, benefit deductions, HSA contributions, and 401K contributions.

  • Handle accounts payable, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and expense reimbursements.

  • Process donations and cash receivables and prepare bank deposits.

  • Maintain detailed records of financial transactions and documentation.

  • Assist in the preparation for annual audits and 990 filings.

  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to support financial reporting requirements.

  • Provide support to the Business Manager as needed.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in bookkeeping and payroll management.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.

  • Familiarity with accounting principles and practices.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Proficiency in relevant software applications, such as QuickBooks or similar accounting software.

  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Aligns with Ambleside’s Vision Statement.

Benefits:
  • part-time 16-24 hours per week, role can grow over time with hours per week and responsibilities
  • $25/hour
  • flexible hybrid schedule - 8 hours (1 day or 2 half days) in-office per week, other hours at home
