Technical Project Manager

Job Summary
We seek a highly skilled and motivated Technical Project Manager to join our growing team. In this role, you will drive project planning, budgeting, and execution, ensuring effective collaboration across cross-functional teams, delivering high-quality solutions on time, and fostering Agile best practices. You will work closely with stakeholders, product managers, developers, and QA teams to prioritize tasks, remove roadblocks, and maintain alignment with business goals.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management:
• Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, budgets, schedules, and resource allocation.
• Manage risks, dependencies, and issues, proactively identifying and addressing them.
• Monitor project performance and report progress to stakeholders and leadership.
• Effectively manage change.
Technical Collaboration:
• Partner with technical teams to ensure clarity of requirements and technical feasibility.
• Understand technical challenges and dependencies to make informed decisions.
• Collaborate with product owners to prioritize the backlog based on business value and technical effort.
Stakeholder Management:
• Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing updates and managing expectations.
• Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical teams.
Tooling and Process Optimization:
• Build and track budgets for project reporting in Unanet accounting system
• Leverage project management and Agile tools to track progress and communicate effectively.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance team efficiency and productivity.
Job Requirements
The following are requirements for consideration:
• U.S. citizenship is required, and an active secret clearance is a plus. At a minimum, must be security clearance eligible
• 3+ years of experience as a Project Manager or similar role in a technical environment.
• Proficiency with project management tools and budget/data entry into Unanet or equivalent accounting system.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications:
• PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), or equivalent certification.
• Technical background or experience working with development teams on technical challenges.
Salary and Benefits
NAVSYS offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package which includes medical, dental and vision plans, life and STD/LTD disability insurance, a 401K retirement plan, vacation and holiday leave, and an educational assistance program. Salary: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year dependent on experience, skill level, and extent to which the candidate meets desired requirements
