ESTIMATOR – Commercial HVAC

Position Summary 

The Estimator is responsible for ensuring that bids are accurate, competitive, aligned with CCM’s vision, and delivered on time—every time. This role works closely with ownership and leadership to determine bid markups, target project types, and identify opportunities that support sustainable growth. The Estimator is empowered to make decisions that reflect what is best for CCM and our customers, while upholding our standards and values. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Prepare and submit accurate, timely proposals for commercial HVAC projects. • Collaborate with ownership to determine appropriate markups for all bids. 

• Ensure estimates reflect CCM’s approach, quality expectations, and strategic direction. 

• Participate in project turnover meetings to ensure smooth transition to PM and Field    teams.

 • Follow up on submitted bids and track bid outcomes. 

 • Contribute positively and be a key contributor to the positive "can do" culture

Supplier & Vendor Partnerships 

• Build strong, long-term relationships with suppliers. 

• Negotiate pricing and leverage CCM’s purchasing volume for mutually beneficial outcomes. • Ensure supplier partnerships are rooted in fairness, respect, and reliability. 

Customer & GC Relationships 

• Represent CCM professionally on calls, job walks, pre-bid meetings, and client interactions. • Provide clear, organized estimate breakdowns and timely communication. 

• Maintain and grow relationships with General Contractors. 

• Take initiative to identify new business opportunities. 

Technical & Coordination 

• Review plans and specifications to clearly define scope of work. 

• Identify project challenges, constraints, or special conditions. 

• Provide value engineering ideas where beneficial. 

• Coordinate with the PM team to fill scope gaps. 

Qualifications 

• 5+ years experience of project management.

• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment, and controls.

•  Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

•  High attention to detail.
