HVAC Construction Project Manager
 
We are actively seeking a Sr HVAC Project Manager with prior experience managing commercial construction projects from small to large.  
 
You must possess good communication skills, critical thinking and forecasting. Experience within a larger organization is a plus, with some experience with estimating, excellent management skills and the ability to motivate a team in a positive way.

Responsibilities:

The Sr. Project Manager reports to the Director of Project Management.  This position’s primary objective is to drive the projects from sold to completion while upholding CCM’s values and focus on providing exceptional experience for both our customers and internal departments.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage commercial HVAC projects and uphold the three tenets of project management 1) Schedule 2) Budget, 3) Scope 

  • ALWAYS provide a timely response to customers and co workers WITHOUT exception 

  • Interact with customers, GC’s, vendors and subcontractors

  • Organize, file and track all project coordination and correspondence digitally using the project management software Procore.

  • Schedule and manage subcontractors

  • Issue vendor and subcontractor PO’s

  • Review, formalize and approve documentation for the successful tracing of projects, including submittals, schedules, schedule of values, billing, request for information, requests for change orders, change orders and project start-up and close out.

  • Manage work sequences, long lead items, procurement and project schedules

  • Manage testing, permits and inspection records

  • Generate all RFI’s

  • Finalize all Change Orders

  • Track project schedules to ensure all deadlines are being met.

  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures

  • Visit job sites on a regular basis, attend all job walks and/or meetings at job site with clients

  • Manage all day-to-day operations through coordination with our internal project engineers, field and service departments

  • Set up equipment release schedule 

  • Coordinate all deliveries, crane schedules and returns from job sites

  • Coordinate with GC Superintendent for all on-site requirements

  • Resolve all technical issues

  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively.  Commitment to respond to both emails and calls within the company’s policy of 24 hours

  • Procore Management / Innovation

    1. Review current tools to identify areas for improvement, implementation and/or additional training for PM and other internal departments

    2. Review future and newly released tools and determine if they should be added and integrated into the current lineup of tools.  Present options to the Director and CEO.

    3. Provide support and continued training to PM department, field and service teams members.

    4. Work directly with a Procore account representative to work through any bugs or issues the team is having with Procore tools. 

Requirements:
• Three-year minimum HVAC Project Management experience
• Commercial HVAC and mechanical experience a must have
• Ability to read mechanical plans
• Ability to lead and motivate
• Experience with projects from $2,000 to $500,000
• Highly motivated, detailed and professional
• Outstanding organizational skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work well with COO, office staff, subcontractors and vendors
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively
• Effectively solve problems
• Computer skills including MS Word, Excel and preferably experience with a project management software, i.e. Procore
