The Senior Systems Analyst HR/Payroll is a member of a team of information technology professionals that is accountable for implementing and supporting ADP’s Workforce Now and Workforce Manager that enable capabilities related to human resources, payroll and County employees. The Senior Systems Analyst HR/Payroll applies ADP WorkforceNow and Workforce Manager technology and third-party vendor solutions to provide products, solutions, data, and analytical services. Business offices and departments typically involved with these capabilities include Human Resources and Payroll.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAssists business units in the development and implementation of their strategic objectives, policies, procedures and standards
  • Evaluates techniques and processes and makes recommendations that will improve the team’s effectiveness and capabilities.
  • Understanding, in depth, the business processes supported by assigned business software applications
  • Analyzes and documents business users’ requirements, clarifying inconsistencies, conflicts, or ambiguities, to effectively model business processes in software.
  • Serves as the IT application owner of assigned business applications for their lifecycles.
  • Responsible for the configuration, development, testing and maintenance and documentation of business software applications
  • Develop and maintain relations with 3rd party support and vendors
  • Use in-depth knowledge of HR, Payroll, Time and Scheduling modules to provide effective solutions to the HR & Payroll teams and to address business scenarios. Knowledge of the interdependency between HR module and Payroll is essential for making design decisions.
  • Keep abreast of new ADP WorkforceNow and Workforce Manager releases and applications and present opportunities for improvement to the business.
  • Provides support for all ADP WorkforceNow and Workforce Manager functions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned including, but not limited to: participating in projects where their skills are applicable.  This could include, but are not limited to, work on business intelligence efforts, workflow, and web page content management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now, including payroll, benefits, time & attendance, and reporting modules.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with ADP Workforce Manager or similar time/scheduling management systems (e.g., Kronos, UKG).
  • Proven experience in implementing and optimizing payroll and workforce management systems, including data migration, system configuration, and workflow development.
  • Software development / support experience is preferred.
  • Business analysis and financial analysis experience is preferred.
  • Project management and/or cross-functional team leadership experience is preferred.
  • A combination of education and experience may be considered.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge:  
  • Experience in data analysis and creating custom reports, dashboards, and metrics within ADP platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting and resolving system issues, including error analysis and corrective action implementation.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of payroll laws, FLSA, wage and hour regulations, and data privacy standards.
  • Experience in maintaining system data integrity, ensuring data security, and implementing access controls.
  • Knowledge of compliance reporting, including ACA, EEOC, and other regulatory requirements.
  • A working knowledge of systems integration, application security, business process and logical data modeling is required.
  • Deep knowledge of software application configuration, testing, and support in a multiplatform environment (Windows Server and/or Unix/Linux environments and/or cloud platform).
  • English Language — Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
  • Mathematics — Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, statistics, and their applications.
  • Computers and Electronics — Knowledge of electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
  • Customer and Personal Service — Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
Skills:  
  • Advanced knowledge of ADP Workforce Now, including Payroll, Time & Attendance, and Benefits Administration.
  • Expert proficiency in ADP Workforce Manager, including schedule management, timekeeping, and employee self-service modules.
  • Strong understanding of data integration between ADP Workforce Now and third-party systems.
  • Experience with API integrations and data mapping between HRIS, payroll, and workforce management systems.
  • Knowledge of SQL, reporting tools, and data visualization (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
  • Critical Thinking — Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for training and supporting end users.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with HR, Payroll, IT, and third-party vendors to implement and optimize ADP modules.
  • Experience in creating training materials and conducting system training sessions for various user levels.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Systems Analysis, determining how a system should work and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcomes.
  • Mentorship, as a Senior position – you will be expected to act as a mentor to colleagues in best practices.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:
  • ITIL v3 (or higher) is preferred.
  • Agile Scrum Foundation is preferred.
  • Must possess a valid Colorado Driver’s License upon hire, with complying insurance. Review of motor vehicle record is required at time of hire and periodically throughout employment.
  • This position requires successful completion of a criminal background check including fingerprinting through a national database
