Represent clients in workers' compensation cases, including hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
Conduct thorough legal research and draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements.
Advise clients on their legal rights and obligations regarding work-related injuries and illnesses.
Manage a caseload efficiently while meeting deadlines and court requirements.
Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, medical professionals, and other relevant parties.
Negotiate settlements and guide clients through the resolution process.
Ensure all filings comply with court rules and relevant laws and regulations.
Stay current with developments in workers’ compensation laws and regulations.
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Active Texas Bar License.
3 or more years of experience in workers’ compensation or related field preferred.
Strong litigation, negotiation, and analytical skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines with minimal supervision.
Commitment to ethical practice and client advocacy.
Bilingual (English/Spanish or other languages) is a plus, but not required.
