A well-established healthcare organization serving the northern New York area is actively recruiting a full-time Pulmonary Critical Care Physician to join their multidisciplinary team. This role offers a dynamic blend of inpatient and outpatient care, providing a unique opportunity to manage complex pulmonary and critically ill patients in a supportive community setting.
Role: Pulmonary Critical Care Physician
Employment: Full-time
Schedule: Rotating every other week; one week providing full inpatient hospital coverage, followed by one week split between outpatient clinic (half days) and inpatient hospital care (half days)
Clinical Scope: Manage care of complex pulmonary and critically ill inpatients, collaborating closely with hospitalist teams and specialists
Preferred Experience: ICU experience is highly desirable
Electronic Medical Record: Epic system in use
Board Eligible or Board Certified in Pulmonary Disease
Within 5 years of completing residency preferred
Seeking a candidate ready to replace a physician who has relocated
Outpatient Pulmonary Clinic based in a community health center
Inpatient hospital services provided at a regional community hospital
Occasional outreach required to a nearby critical access hospital
Annual Salary Range: $467,000–$630,000
Relocation Assistance: Up to $15,000
Signing Bonus: Available
Continuing Medical Education (CME): $4,000 annually
Licensing & Professional Dues: $2,000 covered
Paid Time Off: 240 hours annually
Malpractice Insurance: Claims-made policy with tail coverage included; coverage limits $2.3 million per occurrence / $6.9 million aggregate

Note: Compensation is based on experience, qualifications, specialty, and contract specifics. Additional variable incentives related to productivity or clinical performance may be available.
