Our client is seeking an experienced and driven individual to step into the role of Safety Manager. This position is pivotal in upholding and advancing safety protocols across all divisions of the organization, ensuring compliance with both federal and state regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with various departments to enforce the organization's safety program.
• Partner with the Corporate Safety Director to strategize and implement safety improvements.
• Lead safety awareness initiatives through meetings and comprehensive training sessions.
• Provide accessible safety resources and continuous support to all team members.
• Identify potential hazards and develop effective mitigation strategies.
• Stay informed about changes in federal and state safety regulations and ensure compliance.
• Conduct safety audits, deliver training, and ensure adherence to safety laws.
• Investigate workplace incidents and encourage reporting of near-misses.
• Perform workplace inspections to maintain legislative compliance.
• Prepare detailed reports on Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) matters.
• Manage OSHA compliance, including maintaining OSHA 300 logs and overseeing hazard communication and emergency response protocols.
• Operate smartphones and tablets efficiently to generate necessary reports.
• Perform tasks in various weather conditions and challenging environments.
• Ensure adherence to incident reporting procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License meeting specific program requirements.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 7-10 years of experience in a safety role within the construction sector.

Preferred Qualifications

• OSHA 500, 510, or 502 certification.
• Certified Health and Safety Technician (CHST) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) - preferred but not mandatory.
• Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) certification.
• OSHA certification.
