Are you a seasoned manufacturing leader ready to take full ownership and P&L responsibility for an entire facility? We are seeking an experienced, results-driven Plant Manager to direct all day-to-day operations. This critical role requires a strategic mind, a passion for safety and quality, and proven expertise in optimizing production and leading teams.
As the Plant Manager, you will be the driving force behind the facility's success, overseeing:
P&L and Budget Management: Full responsibility for facility budgets, business planning, and achieving operational goals within the long-term strategic plan.
Operational Leadership: Directing production, scheduling, engineering, maintenance, purchasing, and logistics to ensure maximum efficiency and minimum cost.
Safety & Compliance: Assuming ultimate responsibility for developing and adhering to all safety practices, procedures, and local laws.
Team Development: Planning, training, motivating, and evaluating the performance of subordinate managers/supervisors, providing coaching and discipline as necessary.
Performance & Quality: Monitoring actual vs. planned performance, implementing remedies, and ensuring the highest quality of product and workplace.
Continuous Improvement: Developing plans for the efficient use of materials, machines, and employees, with a focus on Lean Manufacturing principles.
Experience: A preferred combination of a Bachelor's degree (Business or Engineering preferred) and 15 years of industry experience, including at least 10 years of senior supervisory experience with exposure to all plant operations areas in pulp, paper, corrugated products or fiber molding.
Leadership: Proven ability to lead, motivate, select, train, and instruct personnel with sound judgment and decision-making skills.
Technical Knowledge: Thorough understanding of production/extrusion processes and manufacturing capabilities.
Process Improvement: Familiarity with and a successful background in implementing the concepts of Lean Manufacturing.
Skills: Excellent interpersonal, organization, and communication skills, plus proficiency in using computer software for reports, charts, and spreadsheets.
Adaptability: The ability to thrive and adapt in a rapidly changing work environment.
