Currently looking for a Controls Engineer for a growing Design‐Build Mechanical Contracting firm, with a great culture, specializing in the Design, Construction, Service and Compliance of Industrial Ammonia Refrigeration and Mechanical Systems for customers in the Food Processing and Cold Storage Industry from Fort Wayne, IN. In this role you will build relationships and work with customers from creation, through implementation, and all troubleshooting until the end of the product's life.
Controls Engineer Priorities:
Design custom control systems for the food and beverage industry
Develop and deploy PLC programming solutions focused on process control and energy management for plant utility systems
Create applications for local and plant wide HMI/SCADA systems
Continually engage with clients, mechanical engineers, and project managers
Coordinate with sub-contractors to ensure expectations are met
Maintain relationships with clients and provide support for existing systems
Expect some travel within a four-hour radius
Controls Engineer Profile:
B.S. Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering preferred
5 years of experience in the industrial control system field implementing and supporting PLC and SCADA systems
PLC programming, configuration, and support of Rockwell Automation products is required
Experience in FactoryTalk View, Ignition, Wonderware, and Indusoft is a plus
Strong understanding of Ethernet based networks and cybersecurity
Eagerness to collaborate in a team environment to continually create, maintain, and improve program libraries
Understanding of Ammonia Refrigeration is a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Clean driving record
