Join a rapidly growing, industry-leading company as a Senior Accountant providing critical support in financial reporting, inventory management, financial analysis, and cost accounting. This highly visible role works cross-functionally to streamline processes, strengthen financial controls, and improve business performance.

Responsibilities include:

  • Monthly closing of the financial books and preparation of reports. Continuous improvement of close processes.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP while supporting internal and external audit processes.
  • Analyze and report variances from budgets and projections, and maintain GL. Prepare financial analyses and ad-hoc reports to support management decisions, identify performance trends, and improve operational efficiency.
  • Learn industry taxes and oversee the payment of required taxes (excludes federal and state). Support preparation of the annual tax package.
  • Oversee the annual audit and inventory, conduct inventory cycle counts valuation, reconciliation, and reserve analysis to ensure accuracy of COGS. Generate quarterly and ad-hoc reports for management.
  • Review rates of depreciation, labor, and overhead to ensure accuracy of reporting.
  • Establish standard product costs. Partner with inventory and supply chain management to analyze costs of raw materials and other supplies and create cost-benefit analyses with vendor management.
  • Work with engineering and operations to analyze cost changes in product design and new products, including raw materials, labor (productivity), and overhead.
  • Collaborate with team to analyze profitability by product and customer and provide standard reports of findings to management.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related field required. MBA and/or CPA a plus.
  • 6+ years of progressive accounting experience covering general accounting, inventory accounting, financial analysis, financial statement preparation, and budgeting with strong knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting, and ERP systems. Advanced Excel skills a must.
  • Experience with business intelligence tools and/or CPA or progress toward certification a plus.
  • Demonstrated excellence in managing finance, accounting, budgeting, control, and reporting.
  • High initiative and integrity, deadline oriented, and excellent communication skills at all organizational levels.
