Outstanding opportunity for a driven Human Resources leader who can bring strategy, structure, technology, and forward-looking best practices to a growing manufacturing company, while scaling along with the business. 

This is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone who can bridge business strategy and HR operations. The HR Director will lead all aspects of HR and work directly with the executive team to modernize the company's HR function, champion culture and maintain labor relations, supporting all functional leaders to ensure the workforce is equipped for long-term success.

  • A transparent HR infrastructure with consistent operating standards that supports all business operations.
  • Leadership development and succession plans that prepare future leaders.
  • Improved efficiency and accuracy through modern HR technology (HRIS, ATS, payroll automation, performance tools) and KPIs that create a strong, data-informed connection between workforce metrics and business performance.
  • Productive labor relations, CBA negotiations, and an engaged, safety-conscious workforce.

Responsibilities include:

  • Partner with senior leadership to align staffing, compensation, and organizational design with company goals.
  • Implement systems and processes that improve reporting, analytics, and compliance readiness.
  • Oversee employee relations, benefits, payroll, and policy development.
  • Support business strategies through organic growth and acquisition integration.
  • Foster collaboration across departments and ensure clear, timely communication through periods of change.

Requirements include:

  • 4-year degree in Human Resources or related field required. Advanced degree and/or HR certification a plus.
  • 10+ years of HR business partner and leadership experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment including union contract negotiations and positive labor relations management.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage HR technology and build data-driven HR functions in a growing company with limited resources. Must balance strategic mindset with a hands-on approach and be willing to work at all organizational levels.
  • Strong background in HR systems and process automation.
  • Mentor leadership style and ability to develop subordinates to maximize their potential and performance.
  • Previous M&A and business integration experience a plus.
  • Strong action and continuous improvement orientation, outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, and self-accountability with an ownership mindset.

Compensation:

  • Base salary: $130,000 to 160,000, commensurate with experience. Bonus-eligible.
