We are looking for an exceptional sales professional who is dedicated to high performance and personal excellence and has a passion for transforming medical education and patient safety. The Territory Sales Manager (TSM) will establish relationships with existing and prospective clients in a region that includes customers across Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Alaska. Qualified candidates will be proficient in pipeline management, creating, cultivating, and closing sales leads within the assigned territory.

This person must be an aggressive and autonomous hunter who can also work well in a cross-functional team, develop solid relationships, and positively represent the company’s reputation and brand.

Responsibilities include:

  • Meet and strive to exceed the assigned sales quota through direct sale of all company products and services.
  • Grow and manage assigned territory efficiently and effectively.
  • Identify, build, develop and maintain customer and stakeholder relationships.
  • Create and update a Territory Business Plan to include strategy, tactics and milestones as it relates to hitting goals set by the company.
  • Collaborate with your cross-functional team and build a targeted list of accounts for the business.
  • Provide accurate pipeline management and reporting and execute tactical sales plans.
  • Call upon prospective customers and provide technical product information and demonstrations.
  • Attend conferences and organize regional sales events to promote company visibility and generate leads and sales.
  • Thoroughly learn and maintain current knowledge of company products, services and competitors’ landscape.
  • Help establish and then comply with sales policies, pricing guidelines, and best practices for company service offering.
  • Become proficient in the healthcare simulation industry in the pursuit of individual and corporate goals.
  • Maintain the highest standards of integrity and respect for co-workers, customers, and prospects.

Requirements:

  • Must live in Pacific Northwest in one of the following metro areas: Seattle or Portland.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, healthcare focus is a plus.
  • 2+ years of sales experience required; medical device or medical simulation or medical education field sales experience strongly preferred. Healthcare IT or complex product sales to colleges and universities may also be considered. Experience demonstrating and selling sophisticated products/technologies, web-based medical education sales preferred.
  • Proven record of success in building relationships and sales required; experience presenting to physicians, faculty, and simulation lab preferred. Progression of increasing responsibility highly desired.
  • Ability to identify clients’ needs, communicate product benefits, while building lasting account relationships. Must be well versed in solution based selling and creative closing techniques.
  • Demonstrated success working responsibly and effectively in home or office environment and ability to travel independently. Must be able to travel up to 75%.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to professionally follow up, move forward/advance, and close opportunities.
  • Must be an organized and detail-oriented individual with the proven ability to manage vast and varied accounts.
  • Excellent listening, presentation, and communications skills.
  • Strong computer literacy, proficient in MS Office with strong Excel skills and experienced in CRM use (Salesforce preferred).
