Our client, a prominent AmLaw 50 firm, is seeking a talented Junior-Level Associate Attorney to join their esteemed Restructuring & Insolvency Practice Group in New York. This is an exciting opportunity for an early-career attorney to work on complex matters related to distressed commercial real estate and gain exposure to the full spectrum of bankruptcy and creditors’ rights work in a supportive and high-caliber legal environment.
JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
Active Bar Admission in New York, in good standing.
1–2 years of substantive transactional or litigation experience in commercial loan defaults, workouts, and/or bankruptcy-related matters.
Experience with commercial real estate loan enforcement or bankruptcy proceedings is a plus, but not required.
Judicial clerkship experience is highly valued.
Eagerness to learn and take on increasing levels of responsibility across a wide range of restructuring and insolvency matters.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a dynamic team.
Assist in representing clients in commercial real estate workouts, loan enforcement actions, and related litigation.
Support senior attorneys on matters involving creditors’ rights, bankruptcy proceedings, and complex restructurings.
Draft legal documents, including complaints, motions, loan and enforcement agreements, and other pleadings.
Conduct legal research and analysis across a variety of bankruptcy, insolvency, and commercial law topics.
Collaborate with clients, co-counsel, and internal teams to support strategy and execution.
Develop substantive knowledge of bankruptcy law, distressed real estate, and restructuring processes through hands-on experience.

Competitive compensation: Includes a base salary range of $225,000-$235,000, commensurate with experience, and eligibility for a performance-based bonus.
