Our client, a national AmLaw 200 firm, is seeking a highly skilled Associate Attorney to join its Tax, Trusts & Estates Practice Group. This role offers the opportunity to advise high-net-worth individuals, families, and closely held businesses on sophisticated estate planning, tax strategy, and trust administration matters across multiple jurisdictions. 
 

Candidate Profile
  • JD from an ABA-accredited law school with an excellent academic record
  • Active Bar Admission in the relevant jurisdiction, in good standing
  • 3+ years of substantive experience in tax, trusts, and estates matters
  • LL.M. in Taxation or Estate Planning is strongly preferred
  • Experience counseling clients on estate planning, trust and estate administration, gift and generation-skipping transfer tax planning, and related income tax considerations
  • Strong legal research, drafting, and analytical skills, with proficiency in preparing complex wills, trusts, and related documents
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop strong client relationships
  • Collaborative team player with a proactive mindset, high attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise clients on estate, gift, and income tax planning strategies
  • Draft and review wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning instruments
  • Assist with probate and trust administration matters, including asset transfers and fiduciary accountings
  • Coordinate with financial advisors, accountants, and valuation professionals to implement planning strategies
  • Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on complex tax and estate issues
  • Participate in client meetings and assist in the development of long-term planning strategies

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $225,000–$315,000, as determined by experience and market factors
