An AmLaw 50 global law firm is seeking a talented Junior to Mid-Level Fund Finance Associate Attorney to join its prominent Finance & Lending Practice Group. This role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated debt finance transactions for premier financial institutions, private equity sponsors, and venture capital clients while receiving exceptional training, mentorship, and career development support.

 

 

Candidate Profile

  • JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
    • Class Years 2022-2023
  • Active Bar Admission in Massachusetts, in good standing
  • 2–3 years of substantive experience working on debt finance transactions, including drafting and negotiating loan documents
  • Background representing lenders and experience with private equity and venture capital funds preferred
  • Familiarity with limited partnership agreements and fund structures
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to convey complex issues clearly
  • Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and follow-through
  • A collaborative, team-oriented mindset and commitment to client service
  • Proactive attitude with the desire to take on increasing levels of responsibility
 
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent financial institutions in single-lender and syndicated financing transactions
  • Draft and negotiate loan agreements and related financing documents
  • Review diligence materials and analyze issues relating to fund structures and collateral
  • Work with private equity and venture capital funds, management companies, general partners, and portfolio companies
  • Coordinate with partners and senior attorneys to manage deal timelines and deliver high-quality client service
  • Develop strong, long-term client relationships as responsibilities expand

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive Salary: $235,000 – $260,000, as determined by experience and market factors
  • Discretionary merit bonus eligibility
