STRUCTURED FINANCE - ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY

Our client, a prominent Amlaw 50 global law firm, is seeking a talented Associate Attorney to join its dynamic Structured Finance Group. This group is known for advising on some of the market’s most sophisticated and cutting-edge transactions, including residential and commercial mortgage-backed securitizations, asset-backed securities, esoteric ABS, CLOs, repackagings, re-securitizations, and other bespoke finance structures. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative, high-energy team that regularly leads industry-shaping deals.

 

 

Candidate Profile

  • JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
  • Active Bar Admission in California, in good standing
  • 2–6 years of substantive transactional or finance experience
  • Experience working on structured finance, securitization, capital markets, or related transactions
  • Strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly motivated team player with strong interpersonal skills and sound business judgment
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional client service and contributing to a collegial team culture

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the structuring, negotiation, and execution of residential mortgage-backed, commercial mortgage-backed, and asset-backed securities transactions
  • Assist with esoteric ABS, CLOs, repackagings, re-securitizations, and other sophisticated financing structures
  • Draft and negotiate transactional documents and deal-related agreements
  • Work closely with partners and senior attorneys on complex regulatory and capital markets matters
  • Coordinate with clients, counterparties, and third parties throughout all stages of execution
  • Maintain an active role in managing multiple deals and delivering high-quality work under tight timelines

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive Salary: Expected annual base salary ranges from $235,000 to $390,000, as determined by experience and market factors
