We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Warehouse Supervisor to join our team at a busy produce packing facility. This role plays a key part in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our warehouse by assisting the shipping and production managers with packing, sorting, and storing of produce. The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and cleanliness.

 

Requirements

  • 2 years- experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Time and personnel management skills.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

 

Produce Handling & Packing:

  • Assist with sorting and packing produce to meet production targets and quality standards.
  • Ensure produce is properly packed, labeled, and stored according to guidelines.
  • Monitor produce for quality, checking for any damages or imperfections.
  • Ensure correct programs and settings are in use for each product.

 

 

Inventory Management:

  • Help maintain accurate inventory records by tracking stock levels and movements.
  • Assist in conducting regular stock checks and reporting any discrepancies.
  • Ensure that stock is properly rotated to minimize waste.

 

 

Warehouse Organization:

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in the warehouse at all times.
  • Assist with arranging stock and ensuring that items are stored in the appropriate locations.
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of warehouse equipment and machinery.
  • Ensure the preventative maintenance program is implemented. And keep up with all maintenance records.

 

 

Safety & Compliance:

  • Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
  • Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions immediately to the Warehouse Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards and hygiene protocols.

 

 

Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with other warehouse staff, production teams, and supervisors to ensure efficient operations.
  • Assist in training new warehouse staff as required.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments to support workflow.
  • Assist the shipping and receiving manager when needed.
  • Responsible for the output and manpower of daily production.
  • Schedule and manage the labor force necessary to meet daily production.

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, production, or logistics environment is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of inventory systems and warehouse operations.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards is preferred, but not required.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, or weekends.

 

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods during shifts.
