We have partnered with a seasonal private landowner near Big Sky seeking an accomplished Estate Property Manager to oversee the seamless operation & maintenance of a premier private residence. Acting as the primary liaison between the principal and all service providers, this role requires exceptional discretion, refined communication, and a meticulous eye for detail. The successful candidate will anticipate needs, ensure excellence in every facet of the estate’s care, and maintain the highest standards of privacy and professionalism.

Compensation: From $70,000 annually, plus benefits, commensurate with experience

Primary Responsibilities

  • Direct and maintain all aspects of the property, including residences, vehicles, grounds, ponds, and trails, ensuring an impeccable environment at all times
  • Curate and oversee a trusted network of vendors for essential services—HVAC, electrical, plumbing, landscaping, pest control, snow removal, and more—managing schedules, performance, and quality control
  • Conduct regular inspections and implement preventative maintenance programs to protect and enhance the estate’s value
  • Maintain detailed household manuals and operational records
  • Manage capital improvements and renovation projects from design through completion, coordinating permits, schedules, and contractors
  • Negotiate service agreements, approve invoices, and ensure fiscal responsibility in all estate operations
  • Provide 24/7 availability for urgent needs or requests from the principal
  • Execute special projects, errands, and bespoke assignments with precision and discretion

Ideal Profile

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience managing luxury private estates or high-end residences
  • Highly organized self-starter with exceptional project management skills and a hands-on approach
  • Deep understanding of mechanical systems, property infrastructure, and best maintenance practices
  • Proven track record in vendor selection, contract negotiation, and budget oversight
  • Impeccable confidentiality, loyalty, and professional decorum
  • Tech-savvy, with proficiency in Excel and related tools
  • Calm, resourceful, and solutions-driven—especially in urgent or high-pressure situations
