SR. DATA ANALYTICS CONSULTANT - WORKDAY PRISM
W2 CONTRACTOR
REMOTE - MINIMAL ON-SITE
This role involves interfacing with various enterprise technology and infrastructure systems to establish and optimize the data analytics solution. Additionally, the position will be responsible for working closely with data owners and enforcing the use of data governance standards. The Senior Data Analytics Consultant will also evaluate opportunities, gather requirements, and work with the functional area(s) to recommend and support the use of data analytics and dashboards in the university sanctioned data analytics tool.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Lead the implementation and pilot of the university’s new data analytics tool in close collaboration with Information Technology and Security (ITS) departments and assigned functional areas
· Collaborate with appropriate ITS team members and cross-functional teams to ensure data quality, proper integration of new data sources, and alignment with university approved data management processes
· Provide guidance and best practices in the use of data analytics to functional areas
· Coordinate with Information Security to ensure secure data analytics configurations and integrations are established and maintained.
· Maintain awareness of current trends and new data analytics functionality, providing recommendations to appropriate functional teams on how to take advantage of these new functionalities and relevant security principles/best practices. Create and maintain data analytics tool feature adoption and enhancement roadmap for workload management, planning, and budgeting purposes
· Evaluate comprehensive data analytics system gap analysis with recommendations to enhance the overall stature and creation of efficiencies
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field, or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and training
- 5+ years experience leading an enterprise-wide deployment of an analytical reporting system like Workday’s Prism, Tableau, Qlik, MicroStrategy, or PowerBI
- Working knowledge of the following: SQL, Python, and/or R
- 10+ years of experience in reporting, data analytics, and data source integration
- Training in incident response management
- Experience in designing reports and data extractions
- 10+ years of modern integration and reporting experience
- Familiarity with Workday Prism data analytic configurations
- Preferred: Experience using development applications such as Eclipse-based I.D.E., Python, Oxygen, Postman, SOAP UI, and ETL tools
- Higher Education experience preferred
