Our client is an architectural millwork company based in Chatsworth, CA. Over the past 35 years they have established themselves as one of the premiere sources for millwork in Southern California, working exclusively on high end large residential projects.
We are seeking a skilled Cabinet Vision Drafter / Cabinet Designer. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated, organized self-starter with expertise in Cabinet Vision software and a comprehensive understanding of cabinetry construction, hardware, and fabrication practices.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
Field Measurement: Conduct precise field measurements to ensure accurate drafting and fabrication.
Collaboration: Engage in redline reviews with designers and occasional consultations with project owners to align designs with expectations.
Material Procurement: Take charge of ordering long lead time materials essential for project timelines.
Cabinet Engineering: Utilize Cabinet Vision software to engineer cabinets, ensuring precision and adherence to design specifications.
Shop Drawings: Collaborate with the shop foreman to review final shop drawings, addressing any unique or unconventional cabinetry designs.
Documentation: Employ software to create comprehensive
drawing logs, delivery schedules, and other miscellaneous documentation.
Requirements:
Cabinet Vision Proficiency: Extensive experience and proficiency in using Cabinet Vision software for drafting and design.
Cabinetry Knowledge: Strong background and knowledge of cabinetry construction, including familiarity with the latest hardware and common fabrication practices.
Organizational Skills: Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills for collaborating with designers, owners, and shop personnel.
Problem-Solving: Ability to address challenges in the drafting process and find innovative solutions.
