\nMaintain up-to-date awareness of market conditions, trends, and pricing
\nCreate and implement a sales plan while managing administrative tasks
\nExecute and track key sales performance indicators in alignment with management
\nPartner with customers to quote, negotiate, and sell products in accordance with pricing guidelines
\nDevelop tailored customer sales strategies to meet objectives
\nProcess orders and ensure high order fill rates and on-time deliveries
\nCollaborate with plant scheduling and production teams to communicate daily production needs
\nCollect and share insights on market trends, customers, competitors, and pricing strategies
\nManage customer contracts effectively
\nResolve claims and disputes, escalating complex issues as needed
\nMaintain a strong understanding of plant capabilities and limitations
\nMaintain frequent communication with accounts to ensure satisfaction and alignment
\nWork closely with pricing and operations to maximize value on trim, primals, and offal
\nCoordinate full truckload orders where feasible
\nFoster positive relationships with internal teams and external clients
\nCommunicate effectively on delivery timelines, order statuses, and product availability
\nOccasional travel (approximately 20%) for customer meetings, plant visits, and market research
\nPerform other duties as assigned
\nQualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Bachelor's degree preferred (relevant experience may substitute)
\nAt least two years of experience in beef sales required
\nScheduling and plant operations experience is a plus
\nStrong knowledge of industry processes and product documentation
\nProven success in sales planning, forecasting, and execution
\nExcellent communication, presentation, decision-making, and negotiation skills
\nAbility to build and sustain productive relationships with clients and coworkers
\nSkilled in interpreting data from multiple sources to develop actionable plans
\nFlexibility to work across multiple time zones
