KIT Recruitment is continuing our successful partnership with our client in the agricultural/farming Industry who is looking for a Key Account Manager at their Head Office in Mississauga, ON. .

 

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in account management and a genuine interest in developing and nurturing relationships with key retail partners. This role is essential for expanding the company’s presence in the North American retail food market, specifically focusing on pulses products from farm to table.

 

Key Account Manager Details

·        Monday to Friday
·        Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 per year, plus bonus*
·        3 weeks vacation
·        Benefits after 90 days
·        RRSP match*

 

Key Account Manager Responsibilities

 

·        Establish and nurture relationships with major retail accounts to enhance customer satisfaction and build lasting partnerships.
·        Promote sales growth by spotting opportunities for product introductions and promotional efforts within these accounts.
·        Manage contract discussions with retail partners, covering pricing, terms, and marketing initiatives.
·        Maintain an in-depth knowledge of pulse offerings and industry trends to provide insightful recommendations.
·        Create sales forecasts, assess performance relative to targets, and deliver regular updates to the Business Head.
·        Collaborate with logistics, quality, marketing, and finance teams to ensure effective implementation of customer programs.
·        Serve as the primary liaison for key accounts, addressing concerns and ensuring prompt resolutions.
·        Track and analyze competitor actions, market developments, and retail customer trends to support ongoing improvement and innovation.

Key Account Manager Qualifications

·        Bachelor’s degree in business, Sales, or a related area
·        A minimum of 5 years in key account management within the consumer-packaged goods or retail food sectors
·        Experience in field sales is advantageous
·        Strong ability to negotiate and build relationships
·        Familiarity with CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite
·        Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
·        Ability to thrive both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment
·        Highly organized, results-driven, and detail-oriented
