A client in the construction industry is looking for an Inside Sales Representative from the construction or building material industry.

The role involves identifying and closing opportunities to meet performance targets while building relationships with architects, contractors, and installers. Responsibilities include managing the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, assisting users with bid document websites, and maintaining accurate data. The candidate will follow up on inquiries, manage key accounts, collaborate on projects, and advocate for the CRM's use while prioritizing data quality.

 

Inside Sales Representative Details:

·        Monday thru Friday 8am-5pm*
·        $55,000 - $65,000
·        Bonus available*
·        Benefits after 90 days
·        Up to 3 weeks holidays*

 

Inside Sales Representative Responsibilities:

·        Identify, pursue, and close opportunities to exceed performance objectives.
·        Develop and maintain specifications, projects, and relationships with architects, specifiers, general contractors, and installers.
·        Interact with existing and potential clients, including architects, designers, developers, and national accounts.
·        Provide prompt follow-up on opportunities and technical inquiries within 24 hours.
·        Collaborate with sales leadership to build relationships with key national accounts, especially in hospitality and healthcare.
·        Work with the sales team to identify and manage proactive project opportunities through relevant platforms and tender sites.
·        Maintain accurate and up-to-date contact and opportunity data in the CRM system.
·        Acquire and maintain knowledge of products, technical materials, and the competitive landscape to support sales.
·        Ensure product specifications are included by architects, tracking project progress.
·        Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders regarding leads and project updates.
·        Serve as the primary CRM administrator, managing user setups, security roles, and troubleshooting issues.
·        Oversee CRM contact records, implementing data cleaning and updating initiatives.
·        Promote CRM usage through user engagement, developing workflows, dashboards, and forms.
·        Provide ongoing support and training on CRM best practices, creating SOPs and resolving user issues.
·        Manage marketing lists in the CRM, ensuring data accuracy.
·        Oversee processes for importing and exporting CRM data and implement enhancing plugins and tools.
·        Plan updates and modifications, leveraging new system functionalities.
·        Manage bid document websites, setting up users and overseeing search functions.
 

Inside Sales Representative Qualifications:

·        Strong understanding of the building materials and or construction sector is crucial with some knowledge of Construction technology is required
·        Proven track record in selling value-added products within a construction environment.
·        Proficient in marketing products to architects and key decision-makers.
·        Ability to interpret and analyze architectural drawings effectively.
·        Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities, capable of overseeing multiple projects and development phases concurrently to achieve results.
·        Proficient in using advanced computer applications, including PowerPoint, Excel, and CRM systems.
·        Strong negotiation, influencing, and relationship-building skills with a focus on customer engagement.
·        Excellent communicator who fosters strong relationships with Estimators, Project Managers, Marketing Coordinators, and other team members to facilitate high-level operations and project execution.
·        Superior verbal and written communication abilities, with strong presentation skills.
