KIT Recruitment is proud to continue our partnership with a leading agricultural company seeking a Plant Manager for their Success, SK facility. The Plant Manager will oversee all areas of plant operations, including production, storage, shipping, quality, safety, and team management. You’ll thrive in this role if you enjoy being close to the action, leading people, making decisions, and continuously improving plant performance.

 

Plant Manager – Role Details:

  • Base Salary: $90,000/year
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday (Overtime as needed)
  • Vacation: 3 weeks

Plant Manager – Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily operations including receiving, grading, processing, storage, and shipping
  • Monitor inventory and coordinate distribution with logistics teams
  • Drive efficiency and cost-effectiveness across plant processes
  • Lead, train, and support operators, maintenance staff, and general laborers
  • Foster a positive, safe, and results-oriented team culture
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and performance development
  • Enforce all safety protocols and ensure regulatory compliance
  • Conduct safety training and regular safety meetings
  • Oversee plant equipment and facility maintenance
  • Implement preventative maintenance programs to reduce downtime
  • Collaborate with QA teams to meet quality standards for grain products
  • Oversee grain sampling, testing, and documentation
  • Maintain strong relationships with farmers, suppliers, and customers
  • Address concerns and ensure smooth supply chain transactions
  • Keep accurate records of operations, inventory, and production
  • Report performance metrics and updates to senior leadership

 

Plant Manager – Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Business, Operations, or a related field (preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in plant or grain operations, with team leadership responsibility
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
  • Knowledge of grain handling, safety standards, and quality control
  • Computer proficiency for reporting and tracking (MS Office or similar software)
  • Ability to lead a team, make informed decisions, and continuously improve processes
  • Physically able to work in a hands-on plant environment
