KIT Recruitment is continuing our successful partnership with our client in the agricultural/farming Industry who is looking for a Field Sales Representative (Outside Sales) for their Mississauga, ON location.

 

The Field Sales Representative (Outside Sales) is part of the Canadian retail sector. Must be self-driven, collaborative, and customer oriented. Responsibilities include lead generation, market analysis, client relations, and sales planning.

 

Field Sales Representative (Outside Sales) Details

·        8 hours - Monday thru Friday HYBRID*- Primarily on the road (90% of the time)

·        Salary: $90,000 - $100,000 per year, plus bonus

·        3 weeks paid vacation

·        RRSP match*

 

Field Sales Representative (Outside Sales) Responsibilities* Reports to the Sales Manager

 

·        Actively seek new business opportunities through methods such as cold-calling, trade visits, and online research to increase volume, revenue, and profitability.

·        Monitor and report on market trends weekly, identifying areas for growth and opportunities to improve sales performance.

·        Regularly visit clients to understand their needs and negotiate sales while maintaining profitability.

·        Identify and map out retail locations based on criteria such as ethnicity, size, volume, and location.

·        Collaborate on creating effective sales strategies tailored to different markets, clients, and commodities to optimize volumes and margins.

·        Oversee accounts receivable, ensuring timely follow-up and control over outstanding payments.

·        Work with the head office to manage shipments and orders from sale confirmation to delivery at customer locations.

·        Implement retail marketing initiatives, including merchandising and applying shelf talkers, to enhance product visibility.

 

Field Sales Representative (Outside Sales) Qualifications

·        Sales & Marketing degree or related field required

·        Strong command of English language is a must

·        Previous experience in food industry and dealing with retailers is an advantage

·        Minimum of 2 years in CPG Sales preferred for experience

·        Must have a valid G driver's license and be willing to travel locally up to 75% of the time

·        Self-starter who excels in a fast-paced environment

·        Clear and effective communicator

·        Meticulous attention to detail

·        Strong team collaboration skills
