Job Summary The assistant advisor will work with a senior advisor and client services staff in a team responsible for managing accounts and client relationships. You will interact frequently with clients and assist in delivering financial planning, investment management, and other advisory services. You will also be involved with marketing and business development projects and assist with onboarding new clients. In the process, you will become familiar with all aspects of ongoing client services and gain experience with markets, investments, portfolio management, and a range of supporting software applications. Assistants who meet performance goals and gain professional licenses and certifications may progress to have responsibilities for managing client relationships and investment portfolios and have other opportunities for professional advancement. 
Duties and Responsibilities The assistant advisor’s work and responsibilities include: • Ensuring timely responses to client correspondence and inquiries. • Improving the client review process and participating in client meetings (planning, scheduling, preparing presentations, recording meeting notes, and completing follow-up actions). • Assisting with account administration, transfers and money movements, and other needs, in close collaboration with our Client Services team and lead advisors. • Contributing to financial planning projects, including collecting and inputting data, completing scenario planning and analysis, and preparing presentations related to retirement planning and other goals. • Assisting with trade calculations, performance measurement, and investment research. • Developing expertise in our firm’s technology within your first year of employment, including helping to maintain accurate database information. • Identifying opportunities to improve client relationships and communications and build your and company's reputation as a trusted resource. 
 
Qualifications We are seeking candidates who have the following qualifications: • 2-3 years of experience in a financial services environment. • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. • Well organized, with superior attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities. • Strong sense of personal and professional ethics and integrity. • Interest in learning about our firm, investments and financial markets, and socially and environmentally responsible investing. • Desire to gain Series 65 registration and CFP® designation within the next few years. • Proficiency in spreadsheets and demonstrated ability to learn new software programs. • Excellent writing, speaking, and listening skills. • Desire/ability to work successfully in a small company environment.
 
Salary and Benefits Pay/benefits are competitive based on industry standards. • Salary will be based on experience. • Bonus based upon achievement of individual and team goals. • Health care, 401(k), and generous vacation/holiday benefits. • Partial or full financial support for professional accreditation and other education/training opportunities, beginning with the Series 65 license.
