Job Summary 
We are seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support a busy legal team in our Albuquerque office. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment, can manage shifting priorities, and is comfortable supporting multiple attorneys. The right candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team. 

Because this is a small office, responsibilities will include both paralegal and administrative tasks. Strong communication skills, professionalism, and a commitment to supporting the growth of the litigation practice are highly valued. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Draft, format, and prepare pleadings, discovery responses, and legal correspondence. 

  • Maintain expert knowledge of court rules and filing requirements for relevant jurisdictions. 

  • Docket and track all case deadlines to ensure timely filings. 

  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court staff. 

  • Coordinate and schedule depositions, hearings, meetings, mediations, arbitrations, and trial activities. 

  • Assist attorneys with deposition prep, discovery management, and document review. 

  • Support preparation for client meetings, document productions, hearings, and trials. 

  • Maintain organized electronic case files and ensure accuracy within the case management system. 

  • Provide general administrative support, including handling routine correspondence. 

 

Qualifications 

  • Preferably 5+ years of litigation experience in a law firm, including trial prep, case management, calendaring, and supporting complex litigation matters. 

  • Prior experience attending trials and assisting with trial logistics. 

  • Strong understanding of e-discovery tools, including Relativity and advanced review technologies. 

  • Ability to handle multiple deadlines while maintaining strong attention to detail. 

  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and organizational skills. 

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). 

  • Willingness to work overtime when needed; limited travel may be required.
