Job Summary
Environmental Scientists (PFAS) III at Chloeta serve as an Independent Environmental Health Consultant with specialized expertise in toxicology providing information regarding health implications and risks associated with Perfluoroalkyl and Polyfluoroalkyl Substance (PFAS) contamination.
Job Classification: 1099 Independent Subcontractor
Duty Station: Oklahoma City, OK (Remote/Virtual)
Duties/Responsibilities
Analyzes ground water site inspection reports, provides analysis and interpretation of exposure and contaminant toxicity, and contributes to the development and review of workplans for remediation.
Ensures compliance with federal and state environmental regulations for PFAS contamination and exposure.
Prepares and delivers community presentations summarizing PFAS findings and detailing health implications at various contaminant exposure levels. Anticipates and addresses potential areas of contention with tact and professionalism.
Collaborates with project managers, inter-disciplinary teams, clients, and other stakeholders to integrate environmental considerations into project planning and execution.
Develops environmental monitoring plans.
Remains familiar with evolving environmental laws, regulations, and best practices, and applies knowledge to ongoing and new projects.
Participates in public meetings, stakeholder engagements, and community outreach related to projects.

Required Skills/Abilities
Subject Matter Expertise of Pre and Polyfluoroalkyl (PFAS) contamination impacts on groundwater
Proficiency in data analysis
Familiarity with GIS and other spatial analysis products
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear and concise consulting reports and presentations for clients
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Professional writing skills to produce technical reports and contribute to comprehensive environmental reports.
Education and Experience
Required: Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, ecology, biology, or a related field
Preferred: Master's degree
Preferred: 5 years of experience in environmental science, environmental consulting, or a related field.
