Horizon Computer Solutions Inc. is experiencing rapid growth and is seeking an accountant who can help guide both administrative and financial functions our business. We are seeking an experienced professional to join our high-performing team and to help guide us toward continued success. As an onsite accountant, you will have a day-to-day, ongoing impact on company operations, helping us analyze and grow. This position would be ideal for a professional with 5 – 10 years experience and that has worked in a small business setting but is now ready for the next level.

 

Responsibilities:

·        Take responsibility for all cash management, insurance, budgeting, and financial reporting.

·        Help translate the company’s financial strategy into practical application.

·        Create and implement annual budgets and expense plans.

·        Provide input on and enforce official policies and procedures, for accounting, administration and inventory management, ensuring that all matters are conducted in compliance with applicable standards and regulations.

·        Provide reporting and insight into financials, to ensure the organization can adapt to change, weather economic tides and grow in a sustainable manner.

·        Collaborate with other departments to drive business growth and profitability through effective fiscal management

·        Coach business partners in financial matters.

·        As a member of our financial team, provide clear and effective communication and be prepared to answer questions from stakeholder of any level.

 

Qualifications:

·        Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or accounting

·        A Canadian CPA Designation is asset

·        5 - 10 years financial management experience

·        Some operational experience in a B2B environment, would be an asset

·        Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

·        Excellent communication and leadership abilities

·        Familiarity with QuickBooks Online financial software including payroll

·        Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment
