Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Automation Manufacturing Mechanic to join our team in Denville. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the optimal functioning and efficiency of our manufacturing equipment. Your expertise in troubleshooting, maintaining, and upgrading production machinery will play a crucial part in our continued commitment to quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure strict adherence to health and safety protocols, GMPs, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Uphold food quality and safety standards in accordance with Safe Quality Food requirements.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts during equipment malfunctions, collaborating with the production team to identify and resolve issues.
- Conduct maintenance, testing, and upgrades of all production equipment, and handle installation and testing of new machinery.
- Diagnose and resolve PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and automation issues, focusing on component and wiring faults.
- Calibrate and test equipment to guarantee performance accuracy and compliance with specifications.
- Assist in PLC system upgrades to enhance production efficiency and safety.
- Modify programs for system optimization and safety improvements.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and system upgrades.
- Provide training to team members on PLC functions and troubleshooting techniques.
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs as part of scheduled mechanical duties.
- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives and promote safe workplace practices.
- Foster positive and respectful communication with managers, supervisors, and team members.
- Identify and propose process enhancements to increase system reliability and cost-efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven expertise in troubleshooting and maintaining manufacturing equipment.
- Strong understanding of PLC systems and automation technology.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
