Job Description

The Legal Assistant - Floater will provide administrative and litigation support to attorneys as needed, with responsibilities including:

  • Organizing and maintaining legal files and documents
  • Managing data entry and file management tasks
  • Preparing legal documents and discovery shells
  • E-filing documents with state and federal courts
  • Scheduling meetings and managing attorney calendars
  • Utilizing document management systems to store and retrieve files
  • Reviewing and proofreading legal documents for accuracy

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in a legal environment, preferably in civil litigation
  • Knowledge of state and federal court rules, procedures, local rules, and e-filing requirements
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Attention to detail for proofreading and reviewing legal documents
  • Proficiency in MS Office and document management systems
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
